Nystagmus Awareness Day

National and international Nystagmus Awareness Day – 20 JUNE

Nystagmus in the open

Wednesday 20 June is the new permanent date for Nystagmus Awareness Day.

18 to 24 June is Wobbly Week.

We will be raising awareness of nystagmus and encouraging everyone to make the most of the warmer weather and lighter evenings by getting out in the garden, at the park or on the sports field, to raise awareness and fundraise, with the theme ‘nystagmus in the open’.

Get your free to download stuff today

We have posters and flyers, PowerPoint presentations, booklets, lesson plans and a BUNTING template. All free to download.

Joining in or making a donation

Please visit our ‘Nystagmus in the Open’ Justgiving Campaign Page to find out what’s going on and how you can get involved in an event. You can also create your own fundraising page as part of the campaign if you’re organising your own  ‘nystagmus in the open’ event.

Events for Nystagmus Awareness Day

There are loads of fun activities you can join in with or organise to help us celebrate Nystagmus Awareness Day. Richard’s inviting all his friends and family to a ‘nystagmus in the open’ barbecue, Vicky is getting everyone together in her local pub garden and Sue is opening her tiny garden to the public, with a plant sale, craft stalls and tea and homemade cake. For more ideas, try our Nystagmus Awareness Day Event A-Z.

On social media

On Facebook and Twitter you can join in the worldwide conversation, using #nystagmusintheopen. But you don’t have to wait until 20 June. Please help us get the whole virtual community talking about nystagmus every Wednesday on Facebook.

Why take part in #nystagmusintheopen?

Every time you invite someone to a ‘nystagmus in the open’ event or tell someone what you’re doing and why, that’s one more person who understands what nystagmus is.

Every pound you raise will help the Nystagmus Network support our research teams across the UK to investigate this hugely complex condition, to find better diagnosis, treatments and continue to work towards prevention and cure.

Thank you to everyone for supporting  Nystagmus Awareness Day 2018

Please join in the fun on 20 June to help us raise awareness and as much money as we can.

Get started now and by 20 June 2018 we’ll be able to celebrate the big difference we’ve all made together.
