The Nystagmus Network Open Day 2020 takes place on Saturday 3 October.

This year we will be in Sheffield.

Once again, we can promise a stellar list of keynote speakers and presenters.

Researchers, academics and clinicians working in the field of nystagmus research, diagnostics and treatment will be there. Hear first hand about the very latest developments and join them in the Research HUB to chat with them one to one, try out the latest equipment and ask them anything you like.

For parents, there’s a chance to ask all those burning questions and speak openly about bringing up a child with nystagmus in our parents’ forum.

If you’re having issues with employment, we’ve a workshop on nystagmus in the workplace, the hidden disability.

Our IPSEA trained volunteer education advocates, Frances and Claire will be there, running workshops to answer all your questions about special education support.

Mike, our volunteer benefits adviser will be there to help you through DLA and PIP applications and appeals and answer all your questions about nystagmus and benefits.

For accompanied children aged 5 to 15 there will be optional fun, team building activities. Children under 5 are welcome, but there will be no creche, so parents will need to supervise their young ones and keep them with them at all times, please.

There will also be lots of opportunities for networking with other parents, young people and adults living with nystagmus to share experiences, hints and tips and form connections.

Priority booking for members only will open in July 2020. Member places are free of charge.

Space will be limited.

Any remaining places will go on general sale in the summer. Ticket prices are expected to be in the region of £35 per adult, £10 per child. The price is set to cover refreshments and lunch.
