Frances Lilley

Frances is a volunteer Educational Advocate with the Nystagmus Network and became a Trustee in May 2016. She has a daughter at university with congenital idiopathic nystagmus.

Frances has first hand experience of a legal case where she fought to win a Statement of Special Educational Needs (now an EHC Plan). She understands the hurdles parents can face in securing appropriate educational support for their children at school and beyond.

Originally trained by IPSEA in 2014, Frances has undertaken legally based training on the new SEND Framework. She is keen to use her knowledge and experience in order to help families achieve the best possible educational outcomes for their children.
