Meet the Nystagmus Network trustees
Vivien founded the Nystagmus Network in 1984. She continues to serve as a trustee and is the Honorary President of the charity.
Peter is a nystagmus parent who joined the Nystagmus Network as a trustee in May 2016.
Vicky became a trustee in September 2017 and treasurer in January 2018, putting her skills as a qualified chartered accountant to good use.Â
John is a junior doctor who became a trustee in June 2021. He is now training in ophthalmology.
Kathryn became a trustee in November 2020 and serves as secretary to the trustees and acting chair of the support committee.
Karen joined the Nystagmus Network as a trustee in November 2020.
Harshal is the father of a child with nystagmus. He joined the charity as a trustee in November 2021.
Andy joined the Nystagmus Network as a trustee in May 2023. Both Andy and his son, Dylan have congenital nystagmus.
Hannah joined the charity as a trustee in August 2024 and has congenital nystagmus. With a degree in British politics and legislative studies and experience in policy, Hannah hopes to use her knowledge and experience to support the charity.
Anthony joined the Nystagmus Network as a Trustee in November 2025. He is also chair of the Finance and Governance Committee.
Anthony’s background is as an Optician, so he understands the impact of nystagmus. He also brings experience from many previous trustee roles, including British Council for Prevention of Blindness, Vision Care for Homeless People and Kent Association for the Blind.
Richard was born with nystagmus. He became a Nystagmus Network Trustee in January 2026.
He has over 20 years’ experience in senior marketing roles in the private sector and has been a trustee at Citizens Advice for many years. At the Nystagmus Network his focus is on campaigning, raising awareness and funding.
Mari joined the Nystagmus Network as a Trustee in February 2026.
Mari works in investment governance, supporting pension funds and has extensive experience in governance and strategy. She brings both professional expertise and personal experience of nystagmus to support the charity’s work.
