Because they are aware that the university dropout rate for visually impaired students is higher than that of their sighted peers, VICTA have set up a Student Helpline.
The Helpline is open every Thursday afternoon from 2pm – 4pm. If you are a student with a visual impairment you can use the service to discuss any problems you may be having at University. Whether it’s related to your DSA, accessibility issues, or the transition from University to work, we are here to listen. We will endeavour to signpost you to the right service and offer advice to support the continuation of your studies.
