Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025

Notice is hereby given that the AGM of the Nystagmus Network will take place online on Monday 1 June at 6pm.
Members are invited to exercise their right to vote.

Please note: The purpose of the AGM 2025, held in 2026, is to review activities of the charity during the year 2025.

Guest speaker – Panos Sergouniotis (pictured)

Dr Panos Sergouniotis is a Wellcome Clinician Scientist at the University of Manchester and a Consultant in Ophthalmology and Genetics at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and the Manchester Centre for Genomic Medicine, UK.

Panos will tell us about his nystagmus clinic in Manchester and will take questions from members during a Q+A session.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

1. Apologies

 

2. To approve the minutes of the AGM held on Monday 16th June 2025 (please see below).

 

3. To receive the annual statement of accounts: introduced by Vicky Pitman, Treasurer and followed by questions.

 

4. To receive the Trustees’ Annual Report: introduced by Peter Greenwood, Vice Chair and followed by questions.

 

5. Resolutions: Board of Trustees

 

To appoint Nigel Brice and Oliver Coburn as trustees. 

 

To accept the retirement by rotation and reappointment of Karen Chu, Kathryn Swanston and John Vekinis as trustees.

 

To re-appoint Anthony Blackman, David Geller, Mari McLellan and David Parfett as trustees (noting that they had been appointed trustees by the Board of Trustees since the last AGM). 

 

To note that the following stood down as a trustee since the last AGM: Tim Cuddeford.

 

To note that Vicky Pitman stands down as a trustee at the conclusion of this AGM.

 

To confirm that following the passing of the above resolutions, the trustees in office immediately following closure of this meeting will be: Vivien Jones (Honorary President), 

Peter Greenwood (Vice Chair), Nigel Brice  (Finance), Kathryn Swanston (Secretary), Anthony Blackman, Karen Chu, Oliver Coburn, Hannah Donnelly, David Geller, Harshal Kubavat, Andrew McFarlane, Mari McLellan, David Parfett and John Vekinis. 

 

Noting that Samuel Jones is to be appointed trustee and Chair with effect from 13 June 2026.
