Support for adults with nystagmus

Whether you’ve had nystagmus all your life or have acquired it more recently, the Nystagmus Network is here to support adults with the condition, with information, research updates, news, meetings, membership and more.

Or why not get involved with one of our fundraising activities?

Our new local groups

Our very first regional nystagmus network is already up and running in Manchester, hosted by our trustee, Marie. There are lots more local groups to come in 2019, giving more and more people the opportunity to meet up and share information and experiences. If you would like to join one of our new groups, or would like to volunteer to host, please contact us today.

Thank you.

Free run places

Would you like to take up a FREE run place for the Nystagmus Network?

We have places in the London Vitality 10k on Monday 27 May (Bank Holiday Monday) and are about to purchase places in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 13 October.
Due to the relatively high cost of the places for a small charity like ours, we ask that our runners fulfil the following criteria:
  • you have nystagmus yourself or a close connection to someone who does
  • you have a proven track record as a runner
  • you can commit to raise a minimum of £250 in sponsorship

If you would like to be considered for one of our 2019 run places, or would like to suggest an alternative event to take part in, please do get in touch.

Proud of our track record

The Nystagmus Network has been funding nystagmus research since the 1990s and, thanks entirely to the generosity of our members, fundraisers and supporters, we continue to do so today and into the future.

Thanks to your support, our research teams have better diagnostics and a better understanding of nystagmus and how it will impact life in the future.

They are beginning to develop effective treatments to lessen the worst of the symptoms.

The next phase is to work on prevention and, ultimately, cure.
